Avocado for Heart Health Month

February is the month of heart health, so Avoca’Do wants to make sure you’re well-informed on the benefits of avocados on the heart. How healthy your heart is has to do with a multitude of factors such as genetics or exercise but one’s diet should be heavily considered. An NYC based cardiologist, Suzanne Steinbaum, reports that her favorite food for heart health is none other than the avocado. Since avocados are known for containing monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which can help reduce inflammation and lower the ‘bad’ type of cholesterol in the body.
